Little Art Makers / Side by Side

Our inquiry-based approach supports an exploratory process in this class designed for toddlers and young preschoolers. Parents/ caregivers can opt to participate alongside their child for those who need support as their confidence grows in the art studio and children who are ready can transition to attending class independently.
Art Studio I
3-5 years old

With a combination of open-studio time and guided activities, we’ll engage students in open-ended, process-oriented art experiences. 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional art activities will focus on problem-solving, critical thinking, and reflective dialogue between peers and teaching artists.
Sculpture
Grades 1-5

Students will tap into their imaginations while strengthening their critical thinking skills as we build 3-dimensional structures and settings using foamcore, wire, wood, clay, paper, and recycled materials.
Art Studio II
3.5-5.5 years old
Saturdays, January 11-March 29

$420 for 12 weeks | $45 single day drop-in

Young Artists Workshop
Grades TK & K

A special half-day camp for children entering TK or Kindergarten in the fall (ages 4.5-6 years) . Each afternoon, we’ll have time for both open-studio exploration and guided art activities designed especially for developing creativity in younger artists. No camp June 19.
MAD Camp (Music, Art & Drama)

MAD stands for Music, Art & Drama! This multi-disciplinary camp features 2 hours each day with Fort Mason neighbors Young Performers’ Theatre (drama), Blue Bear School of Music (music), and San Francisco Children’s Art Center (visual art).
Land, Sea & City (week 1)

Land, Sea & City is a special art camp that combines creative time in the art studio with walking excursions in the Fort Mason area where we will draw, paint and create art inspired by the natural and built surroundings in our unique location. No camp July 4.
Drawing & Painting / Architectural Sculpture
Grades 1 - 5

In the mornings, connect your head, heart, and hands through drawing and painting. We’ll learn how to capture what we observe and use our imaginations to draw and paint the things we wish to see in the world. In the afternoons, we’ll channel our inner architect to build 3-dimensional structures and settings using foamcore, wire, wood, paper and recycled materials.

Photo Explorers / Books and Boxes

In the mornings, we’ll discover the art of photo mixed media with digital photography combined with drawing, painting, and collage. In the afternoons, characters, scenery and events come to life! We’ll create books and boxes of different shapes, sizes, and textures as you develop imaginative plots and illustrations to tell your stories.
Printmaking & Sculpture
Grades 1 - 5

In the mornings, we’ll create a variety of images and patterns with collographs, stencils, stamps, and block printing. In the afternoons, creativity comes in 3-dimensions as we build sculptures using paper, wood, wire, clay,and other materials.
