A New Leaf

by: Lyali, Age 4Welcome to the San Francisco Children’s Art Center blog! If you’re reading this, you may be visiting our newly redesigned site for the first time. We celebrated our 30th Anniversary this year, which we think is pretty fantastic, and one of the ways we decided to mark the occasion was to spiffy up our site and logo…..We were able to update our website and logo thanks to Lauren Scime of Object Adjective. Our signs are being repainted as we speak, and you may have already seen our new look in our monthly e-news. We’ve added galleries of photos and artwork, a documentation project highlighting the creative process of children in the studio, and hopefully more colorful and streamlined information. Your feedback is welcome!
We hope this will be a place for our teachers, friends, families, and other art educators/administrators - or anyone else who happens upon us - to think out loud and share thoughts, ideas, and stories. Valuable teaching moments, discussions with parents, community events, and social exchanges between children in our studio make up much of the spirit of the Children’s Art Center, and we are excited to now be able to share these moments with you.
Check back often, enjoy, and don’t forget to comment!
